These are just a few of our favorite things to do while staying in Palmetto Bluff but there are many more available activities such as croquet, bocce, tennis, horseback riding, running/walking trails, skeet shooting and guided outdoor adventures.

 

BOAT RIDES  Catch a glimpse of Lowcountry wildlife, dolphins and alligators. Boat rides through the lagoons are available Friday at 11 a.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. Contact Wilson Landing to sign up in advance or ask for further information. 843.707.2757

SPA  Rejuvenate with an unlimited number of treatments and a private pool. Call 843.706.6615 to schedule an appointment in advance.

SWIMMING  The Main Resort Pool is located at the Inn. Complimentary towels and sunscreen are provided. The pool has bar service and light fare available throughout the day at the Fore & Aft located alongside the serene lagoon waterway.

KAYAKING  Red kayaks all over the property are complimentary, offering a nice leisure ride along the lagoon trail. 

FISHING  Complimentary off the lagoon dock, stop by theCarriage House to pick up equipment.

BIKING  Each guest has a complimentary bike at their home or cottage or request at the Inn. Take in the majesty of the century-old live oaks and serene native landscapes as you ride and explore the many places around the property, purveying plenty of wildlife and scenic vistas.

GOLF  Linger on the scenic 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. Woven throughout the May River Forest are 7,171 yards, with several holes on the banks of the river. For the kids, there is a playground across from Buffalo’s and a tree house near RT’s Market.

DAY TRIPS If you are making a vacation out of this and have a day to wander, we recommend exploring Savannah, Hilton Head Island or taking a boat over to Daufuskie Island. Daufuskie Island is right across the river from PB and is where our family spent many summer holidays. It is a remote, rustic sanctuary offering beaches, golf and lowcountry fare at Marshside Mama's

JESSAMINE  Considered the heart of dining on the Bluff, Jessamine offers daily dining of exquisite southern cuisine and intimate indoor and outdoor seating on the Jessamine Veranda, as well as the well-appointed private dining room, “Vine.” For reservations, call 843.706.6210.

BUFFALO’S Menu of casual fare is committed to simplicity and local ingredients. Great for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

FORE & AFT  Next to the main pool and overlooking the scenic lagoon waterway.

RT’S MARKET Neighborhood general store, where you can pick up your morning newspaper and coffee, top off your gas tank, buy milk and bread for tomorrow’s breakfast, or gather the ingredients for a gourmet meal for a house full of guests. MAY RIVER GOLF GRILL Nestled alongside the pristine fairways and stately, 100-year-old live oaks of the May River Golf Club, the May River Golf Bar and Grill is an ideal spot for casual dining in a relaxing, sun-lit atmosphere.
